Yes, it's an interesting question. Agondre is a real, in-the-flesh being and Larissa even witnessed his birth, but clearly he is an extraordinary being. He doesn't perform miracles, but he is bound to the earth in a way not entirely dissimilar from some of the traditional earth gods. Larissa sees him as some sort of a higher power and hasn't really worried about sorting it out beyond that; Brion, being more in the religious sphere, would presumably be more concerned about the question of what exactly Agondre is.
