Aside: At the end of this Larissa still had two 5th-level spells, one 3rd-level, all 7 2nd-level, and a bunch of 1st-level. I conclude that it is basically impossible for a medium-level sorceror who starts fresh to run out of spells during a single fight.

Date: 2004-11-25 03:10 am (UTC)Indzihar was down to two 4th-level slots, one 3rd-level slot, and one 1st-level slot, for a total of 20 spells cast (or attempted) during the fight.
Under normal circumstances, it seems impossible for a medium-level sorceror to run out of spells during a day, let alone during a single fight.
