Tergia is a land of thick and wild forests. It was once more populous, and relics of intelligent occupation can be found from time to time. But since the Cataclysm, it has never returned to its former glory. The eastern half of the province is particularly wild; most of the civilized areas are in the western half.

Tergia is particularly known for its black markorl trees, which grow to immense height and girth. The wood is immensely hard and tough--so much so that it blunts woodsmen's axes--and resistant to fire, rot, and insects. This is the darkwood mentioned in the DMG). This makes it prized as a building material and a material for armor and shields, but it also limits the population growth; it's difficult to carve out many fields, and sometimes growing markorls will destroy buildings.

The Ruggegraat mountains extend up the eastern edge of the province. There are occasional dwarven mines, and as usual, there are bestial humanoids on the eastern side of the Ruggegraats. Most of the province is covered by parallel valleys and mountain ranges. Most of the valleys have rivers, but they are generally only navigable with difficulty.

The climate tends to be cool, with cold winters in the mountains. Common wildlife includes bears and wolves.

Major cities: Cardior is in the northwest corner. The provincial capital is in the center of the western half, at Kozel'sk. The other notable city is Gorokhovets, in the southwest.

Groves of druids and rangers are comparatively common in Tergia, because woodsy types like the forests, and because wood shape is a big help to living among the markorl. The major grove is Oakhame, near the center; this is where Liandra comes from.

Beliaberith, in the northeast, is a haven for elves. (Hopefully it's not too cheap a knockoff of Rivendell.)
