letter to Colm
Mar. 23rd, 2003 04:14 pmHey Colm! It's great to hear from you. I'm glad all is well with you, and pleased to hear of your new tavern. It sounds like a great idea, and "The Rearing Dragon" sounds like the perfect name to me.
Yes, the problems of the world go far beyond what we have seen, and far beyond the Gastreyr as well. The whole land is affected, and these are dark times. But we have some ideas and are trying to investigate them. If you can find others to help, so much the better! Whatever the problem is, it is not going to have a conventional solution.
Things have been...interesting... for us, as I gather you have heard. You will be pleased to know that our unfortunate streak with taverns seems to have ended; we have safely visited several and they are still standing. I look forward to visiting the Rearing Dragon.
I want to thank you again for introducing us at court, which led to us meeting Lord Marius. I still don't know what to think of him exactly, but he has given us some helpful tips thus far. We are currently in Tergia (we received your letter in Oakhame) investigating one of those tips. I'll tell you more via more secure channels if we can.
Does Nithelen still speak of his home (or tower?) in Lescap? If he has said anything more coherent than what he told us, particularly of how he came to be in Shepford, I would be interested in hearing about it.
Take care, tell Nithelen I said hi, and have a drink for me, ok?
